"Despair is a sin."
"Thanks, so is sanctimony."
I try to be the change I want to see in the world, but I haven't yet figured out how to get my cabinet to remove me from office under Article 25.
"Who was there? Oh, Count Dracula, Duke Dracula, the Marquis de Dracula...the whole aristocula really."
I just realized the reason nuns are called "brides of Christ" instead of "wives of Christ". It's to keep wiseacres like me from asking what constitutes "consummation" in this metaphor.
As my grandma used to say, it's "boil the terlit" hot out today.
(This is a lie.)
One of the many despicable reasons the press uses "falsehood" instead of "lie" is that it avoids the association with "liar" and "lying". We don't say "falsehooder" or "falsehooding".
I can't tell if I'm depressed, dissatisfied, or some stupid melange of the two.
I think I'll stop eating forever and just listen to Pauline Oliveros and see how that works out
Me: contemptuous of otherkin
Also Me: semi-convinced that if you live a good life you get to pick which cartoon you want to live in after you die
@MissSnarkerson aw thanks. I'm fine, just needed somewhere safe to say this.
Antidepressants are great for calmly facing how suicidal you feel for reasons you can't articulate. Or possibly I need to try a different one.
Hugo finalists are out. Kim Stanley Robinson's New York 2140 is on it. If I loved everything up through The Years of Rice and Salt, but found 40 Signs of Rain unreadable, will I like this one?
When you think about it, the guys in the red undies in ZARDOZ are a well regulated militia.
"It's called BELA AND FELA and it poses the question 'What if Bela Lugosi and Fela Kuti ran a detective agency together in the after life?'"
"Wait, why would anyone need a detective in heaven?"
Buying video games makes me feel good. Playing video games makes me feel guilty. Dumb shit like this multiplied by thousands of instances is why I take effexor.
slightly flashing gif, "misandry"

Trans friends: with Adrian Lamo's death I've heard multiple accounts that use phrases like "Bradley Manning at the time", when they cover Lamo telling the feds about Chelsea. Is this still deadnaming? It's arguably done for historical context as the Lamo quotes from the time refer to Manning as "he", but not sure that's a meaningful distinction.
Oh yeah, I have a masto account. What's up, my tootles?
