The problem with having somewhat smart cats is that they also use their smarts to learn the things you don't want them to.
@rhorsman Mine have figured out that they can stick their paw up in the automatic feeder to dislodge food meant to dispense at the next scheduled time, and then when the feeder goes off next and barely dispenses because they got impatient they look at me like I'm the asshole!
@jasonsteakums Our older cat has learned (from the younger one) that water from the tub faucet is awesome. It was really short sighted of the little guy: used to be when they were fighting in the tub turning on the faucet would drive away the older one while the younger one got a refreshing drink.
Also now we get twice as many whiny (but adorable) requests to turn the tap on.
