@Jules This is a great idea!

These boys are just so very loud.
And then I drank too much vodka and had what Iโm certain was a very smart and insightful conversation about Star Wars and mythology and film and lore and also about space lesbians and jedi musicians but we had fun dammit.
@maloki I literally keep a pair on my bed stand, next to my books, for this purpose.

@lemurchild I have been there and it SUCKS. I'm sorry. The disappointment is real and you are not wrong to feel it.
I know you'll do your best.
Then, find a way to plan for a day off with no child responsibilities. Even if it has to be farther into the future than you'd like, having it on the books really helps, in my experience.
Good luck to you!

I've been using this arrangement for my weeks the last month or so. Big Idea goals/steps and a spot for notes at the top (kitty stickers for privacy), with a mini calendar and also trackers for my books and meditation.
Below that, first, where I need to go for each day (kid activities, meetings, etc - I'm a SAHM), then tasks/housework for each day. I haven't actually filled those out yet this week though. ๐

@sonicbooming We love the library - and had just come from there. This book is brand new and they don't have it yet. Plus he owns the first book - this is a sequel he's been looking forward to. But his teacher is going to read it aloud to the class as soon as they finish they're current book, and it would have more than doubled the cost of this trip today.
I know it was the decision we had to make, but I still feel bad about it.
