@WelshPixie It’s adorable! I’ve only ever seen about two adults - they’re not common here in N. Illinois.

@distelfliege I had heard of the stacking, and thought it sounded nice, but the only ones I’d ever seen were like four rocks high. I had no idea people were digging rocks out of the ground or river beds, and making such big piles, or so many of them. That’s sad.

I’m in the “leave no trace” camp, myself. (As much as one can with small children, but that also affects where we choose to go in the first place.)
