I spend most of my time with kids (my own and my tutoring students) and cats. I try to read and knit or stitch - at least a little - every day.

I'm Jules. I spend most of my day with kids - I have a toddler and a 2nd grader, plus I do some tutoring on the side.
My main hobbies and interests are knitting, music (especially oboe), reading, and museums.
I'll post about those things, and my family (including the cats), but I'll also be posting about political topics. No one else is going to save us, so we need to save each other. I’ll share what I’m doing to help.
Anyone else ever let their kids doodle on their #bulletjournal? I do, sometimes. I haven't decided yet if I'll leave this as-is or incorporate it into a spread!

I was so happy to be able to buy some yarn during Local Yarn Store Day celebrations yesterday! My son fell in love with the rainbow mitts kit, so that will be the next thing I cast on.
If Mueller or Rosenstein are fired, there are peaceful protests planned in the US.
If you're in a Republican House district, you have far more power than those of us in a Democrat district: you can actually press towards impeachment with the House member in your district.
Most US protests are largely just venting. This, however, can actually apply pressure at a critical point. If you show up. Please do.

I'm finding myself in need of a set of bullet journal stencils. I'm looking for something to help me neatly color in a line of squares on a Leuchetturm1917 dot grid. I like to highlight the day and date for each entry, but I am a messy when I do it by hand.
Do you have any suggestions or favorite stencils?
Pinafore is an alternative web client for Mastodon that I'm releasing today. The goal is to make a lightweight standalone web app that can plug into multiple instances, with a UI focused on speed and simplicity.
Pinafore is still beta-quality in places, but it's already the main client @ElfLord and I have been using for the past few weeks. I've been working on it since the start of this year. Hope y'all like it. 😊
