@Fidgetcetera yes! this is totally a valid specialization to have, and at most companies would fit somewhere on the line between SRE and support engineer depending on what code you’re debugging.
Heck, there are entire consultancies doing forensics on “something terrible happened, what factors within and outside the code helped cause it?”
