@pzmyers what ever happened to Atheism+? It seems like it died out

@noflag Snuffed out, more like it, by constant harassment.

@pzmyers atheism needs to die. All my xperiences with I as a movement have been so awful, usually because other obnoxious self important white men.

@ratbaby
Everybody should come hang out with the apathetic agnostics. Our philosophy is "don't know, don't care."
@pzmyers

@pzmyers I wouldn't describe it as leaving 'atheism'. I mean being an atheist is the state of understanding comfortably that God/s is a human construct invented to explain the unexplainable thousands of years ago. I think it's feasible it would all get a lot less stressed and sexist if atheists (OK, atheist men) got a little less uptight about it maybe? It's OK for it to not be a club with badges! For the life of me I do not understand how rational people could behaving like such assholes.

@Zoonie I'm still an atheist, that will never change. But I no longer recognize it as grounds for community or finding shared interests.

@pzmyers the whole concept of atheism-as-movement confuses me. how can you organise something around a common disbelief? I think the problem atheism has, at least in the US, is the feeling that it should *be* a movement, rather than just a default state of mind. it's not like people "leaving atheism" are suddenly becoming religious, is it?
