I work out 3 days a week. Light cardio, some weights. Just trying to prevent my inevitable collapse into ancient crapitude.

I have a warmup song as I flex pathetically on entry.

It's Joe Cocker, "You Can Leave Your Hat On."

I imagine he's singing it to me.

My usual gym set takes about 45 minutes. Put an album on the phone (wait! that sounds really weird to a '50s baby!) and do my thing.

Today's workout album was Jeremy Messersmith's "The Reluctant Graveyard".

@pzmyers What, no burning your muscles out on p90X while listening to Rage Against the Machine like Paul Ryan?

You can tell I'm also not working too hard, if that's my workout music.

Give me a year, I'll be listening to Norwegian death metal. It's a natural progression.

@pzmyers i hear you there...I'm still learning how to really even walk again, myself. Two years? Marathons, baby.

@ElectricMink I'm trying to defeat 60 years of neglect. Marathons aren't on the menu.

I'll be happy to keep the trocar away.

@pzmyers I'm rather s bit younger, but tell that to my damned aorta. Stupid thing tried to kill me. I can now plausibly claim to be undead, having spent several hours at just about room temperature and with no heartbeat while they fixed it.

@pzmyers why wait that long? Go right to Watain.

@pzmyers @Troll Vallenfyre's latest is my go-to weights music. Guttural crusty doom death rules!

@pzmyers Yeah, it takes longer than that to get to Finnish death metal.
