@pzmyers Even by his own admission Kirchick says that a federal law banning discrimination has been "elusive." Saying 22 states have anti-discrimination laws is a cop-out.

And that's not getting in to the fact that a lot of the rights won ere Supreme Court decisions. I'd bet all of my computers (I'm a sysadmin) that once the current Supreme Court is done with overturning Roe v. Wade they'll set their sights on reversing previous decisions in favor of LGBTQ+ people next.
