Certain choir directors might think 'a way would kill a lot of people' position is 'too political' and that we do music to escape politics.
This makes me more determined to return to doing very explicitly political pieces. I'm still not sure what, since it absolutely can't be just the Trump Show but has to engage at a more broadly anti-capitalist, anti-nΓ©olibΓ©ral level.

@celesteh It's frustrating how politics is usually only encouraged in avant-garde/improv/etc when presented in the vaguest, most toothless form. We need much more aesthetically interesting and unabashedly anti-capitalist art.

@pybyte To be fair, it's a hard aesthetic challenge. But, I mean, I wasn't suggesting we perform in front of a 'no war but class war' banner.Β  Although, now that I think about it....
