It's really difficult for survivors to come forward about abuse from popular artists. It's *extremely* difficult when you're a youth coming forward about an older adult who has authority, maturing, social knowledge, and can easily EASILY gaslight you and write you off as lying.

Our instinct should be to believe survivors. Period.

There's an incident now that's happened which I won't get into; but this is a Communal Pattern among furries, artists, our little queer communities. It happened with shrmoky. It's happening again with purplekecleon/glitchedpuppet/whatever.

Remember how Lowtax knew shmorky was a pedo for YEARS and nobody did anything about? Nobody listened until the survivor caved and went to kiwifarms? How there was ameme making fun of The Survivor?!

It is a very bad pattern that on multiple occasions child sexual abuse (csa) survivors will come to trusted people in their communities for support and receive no accountability, and only when they eventually go to kiwifarms, which nobody wants to do, does someone believe them and try to do something about it.

That's A Bad Look. That's a failure on our part.

Pretty much how Facebook destroys self exploration online. I feel this problem affects Transgender peeps a lot along with everyone else.
