Sigh. I mean I should probably go VIM but I have to try Emacs again. It's been 25 years and all I remember is CTRL-X CTRL-Z.
I rebuilt one of my testing Arch Linux systems (virtual machine) and went with Ratpoison as my window manager. Configured a terminal window to open at launch and attach to an existing tmux session or create a new one if none exists.
Very nice thus far. It makes me focus on what I came there to do.
