@twistedonion Haha, not gonna lie, that's definitely part of the appeal for me. Haven't used Twitter for years, but it's good to have another public, non-Facebook platform to post stuff.
As a developer who mostly works with Ruby, I'm kinda psyched that the backend for Mastodon is Ruby/Rails.
Would be fun to read the code.
