So on my trip to New York earlier this fall I paid a daily fee for the EZPass transponder, but it also looks like the rental folks charged me more than the actual tolls. Admin fees I guess? Such an opaque arrangement. If I traveled frequently I’d just get my own EZPass account.

I honestly would have been happier paying cash at a booth but technology marches on.
