The NY governor's office just used the COVID vaccination app to issue a notification about their recommendations for dealing with the infant formula shortage, which is... really smart. The ability to quickly provide public health notifications through unified infrastructure is great, and I'd love to see this used for other health alerts (salmonella/listeria, etc).

Also: I am _so fucking tired_ of having to hear about the latest cold tearing its way through schools from pediatricians or parental grapevines. Just fucking post it publicly so as a parent I can make a determination if they're puking because of something seriously wrong or if they just have the stomach bug all their peers do.
