There were four people working the bridge today and it took them ten minutes to figure out how to close it

It was really fun to watch them through the window of the control tower as they argued with each other while repeatedly opening and closing the bridge by about five degrees, though

Oh wow looks like I'd better update the Wikipedia page. "It has not been opened for boat passage since 2012", huh.

@DarkWraithLord hilariously it took us months to get our hyperlexic kid to understand that parking signs did not apply to him

@phooky Guess it means the same thing as no stopping for cars in North America.

@DarkWraithLord exactly; you usually see them near fire hydrants, active driveways, etc

@Gina @phooky sometimes we appreciate bridges, too. mostly when they're closed.
