Searching youtube frantically for a Let's Play of constructing a heptadecagon with straightedge and compass
@phooky 17's a bit advanced for even the most dedicated Sacred Geometry¹ student. I'm sure someone on one of the advanced rule and compass channels has constructed it, but the commentary's more likely to be in Farsi than English. There will likely be something in one of the Geogebra channels too.
¹: Sacred Geometry as a movement/group can be a bit probbo at times. Take care.
@scruss there are a few 17-gon construction videos on youtube. Still waiting for the 257-gon to drop
@phooky “A Professor O. Hermes labored for ten years on the construction and associated algebra of the 65537-gon. The work filled a trunk which was donated to the Mathematical Institute at Göttingen. Nearly a century later it remains stored in an attic there, in all likelihood having never been read.”
