@beezyal I have the opposite experience The extra effort of revealing hidden information is annoying enough that I'll often ignore CW'd toots. Long threads can be particularly tedious to open each toot one at a time.

I understand the utility of CWs, and use them when discussing more fraught issues like sex or suicide. It does not seem productive, though, to use them to flag toots about politics, which are roughly a third of what I post. I assume that if a person chooses to add me to their stream, then they're comfortable seeing me rant about politics without CWs.

Okay, retrocomputing nerds: anyone recognize this weird-ass midplane I've had kicking around? Probably old IBM equipment.

I have my phone set to auto-deny any number that is not in my contact list to combat the ever increasing amount of spam I've been getting. Unfortunately there is one insurance scammer that has taken to leaving voicemails. Multiple VMs a day for the last two weeks.

I contacted my provider about disabling my VM box altogether. They do not support this. You can, however, redirect missed calls to another number instead.
