Ok fair. Tell me again how your "it's not censorship since they aren't the government" argument operates in a society where the commons is being systematically walled off and aggressively captured by business interests with monopolistic practices? Organizations who end up taking on the role of private police forces governing what once used to be a public area?

They curreny are the hosting provider.
The most technical part was buying a domain and then configuring it.
It is technical, but within the realm of doable if you are able to follow a tutorial/how to, online.
Maybe Hugo can help on that part too.

@phantasmal_yearnest I got this domain off GoDaddy (just search "buy a domain" on any search engine and you'll get different providers), and hosting is done by @mastohost, who does pretty much all the technical, sysadmin-y stuff for the instance in the background.
I've been the admin of a few different websites though, and familiarised myself w/ how Mastodon + ActivityPub work. It's a good idea to make a kind of "operation plan" on how your instance would be run.
