I was here briefly, now I moved to another instance. I'm really @peterrowlett
So there is an instance called oulipo.social, and both its interface and its users completely avoid the letter E. This is all sorts of awesome
@christianp @ColinTheMathmo I notice that CLP's toot about pi appeared on my home timeline, but his follow up https://mastodon.social/users/christianp/updates/1758628 didn't. Because it was a reply (to himself)?
@ColinTheMathmo @christianp according to #2 here, it ought to be pulled across. https://hackertribe.io/users/ColinTheMathmo/updates/436
@ColinTheMathmo hard to say is right. Ho hum.
@ColinTheMathmo hmm. In this case, the two results I see are from Octodon (my instance). But when I searched #math/#maths earlier I saw results from others.
@ColinTheMathmo I don't know. If I type, say, "juggling" into the search box it says "1 result: #juggling". Then I click on #juggling and a column (off the right of my screen) opens with two results. I'm unsure if that is all the results or really what is happening.
@ColinTheMathmo yes, but with Twitter search I could do something like this and get some sort of result: https://twitter.com/search?q=Mastodon%20confusing
Here, it seems to be I can only search hashtags.
@ColinTheMathmo this in particular is a mess! https://hackertribe.io/users/peterrowlett/updates/292
If I type @peterrow.... into the message box, I get two users appearing - me and my duplicate (and my duplicate comes first!).
@ColinTheMathmo they aren't all on my instance, either. Not sure. I can't seem to search for a term that isn't a hashtag, which is quite annoying.
By which I apparently mean @christianp. Finding this confusing.
Erm. Hello! Trying this because @christianp recommended it.
