I see some complaints on #Mastodon regarding toots in different languages other than English. Please stop complaining. This is Earth. A big place with lots of great people with great cultures and great languages. Please, please embrace our friends from around the world. You may just learn something from them that you would have never otherwise.

Newbie tip: Mastodon doesn't show the number of favs/boosts until you click on a toot, and also you won't necessarily see the full number of favs/boosts even then, especially if you're on a newer instance whose members aren't following that many remote accounts yet (only boosts/favs/replies from followed users are shown).
My advice: just focus on the content and the connections rather than the engagement metrics. Because that's what matters anyway. 😊

@cwebber @micahflee @rysiek @pettter I think some of us feel that creating new "private messaging" channels that lack e2e crypto is really not something we should be doing anymore.
Thinking about what the opposite of a followbot would be: an Ambassador Bot!
It would just boost all local toots that earned more than X favs. So follow it to see the best of what a platform has to offer.

Interesting. At least for @follow_dragon, you can use `#nobot` in yr bio to keep from being en-bot-enated. Seems like a simple, polite practice that other followbots could easily emulate.
