What do you think if we hosted a nice, open source, publicly-editable Mastodon web client on Glitch? Useful?

anyone else having serious lag/responsiveness problems? @CobaltVelvet

I think mastodon could really use that TeenVogue endorsement

Good night, again, thank you for an amazing day!
First day as PM, I've learnt a lot about me and about you guys. And it's been great.

If anyone want to help me push over the $100 a month on patreon, that'd be very appreciated too!

This article about the decline of eBooks matches my experience. A few years ago I was all-in on eBooks, but last year I started buying real books instead: theguardian.com/books/2017/apr

"You can’t turn down a corner, tuck a flap in a chapter, crack a spine […] You can’t remember something potent and find it again with reference to where it appeared on a right- or left-hand page. You often can’t remember much at all."

What's the weirdest thing you've done on autopilot?

Mine:
Poured milk on cereal, and stood there holding the milk bottle in one hand and the milk bottle top in the other. I knew I had to do *something* with the items in my hands but couldn't remember what. I placed the bottle top in my cereal bowl.

On another occasion, I was multi-tasking trying to make coffee and toast simultaneously. The kettle clicked just as I had a buttery knife poised to spread, so I buttered the kettle.

I think there's an artist hidden in the bottom of every single one of us. There are no mistakes. You can fix anything that happens.

It is just a concept but maybe it would be a good idea to make #Mastodon a little bit easier on the eye (or at least provide such a view as an option), so it could be more attractive for the non-tech-savvy people as well. What do you think?

*Since I woke up* Mastodon has added a number of users equal to ~1/7 of the total # of users that were here when I joined. I haven't even poured myself a second cup of coffee.

So, any helpful know-it-alls want to give me guidance on community guidance?

Turns out that Android app isn't an Android app at all, it's a new web-based thing based on TypeScript. Basically an entire new web-based UI.

I'd prefer people improved the existing #Mailpile responsive web UI. Mailpile has relatively shitty APIs at the moment, so I would rather 3rd party devs didn't rely on them.

I am pretty sure that is very discouraging feedback. Am I wrong? Am I right but should keep to myself?

I haven't mentioned this here before but I recently started a little online fiction site for speculative and weird short stories and I would love some witchy submissions. asymmetryfiction.com/
