@maloki I was listening to a podcast, I think the topic was inequality, but part of it talked about how as we've industrialized and diversified and specialized, we've also adopted the mindset that everything needs to be done at expert-level.
The example used was singing, and how in western culture, regular people sing much less than they used to, partly because of the hierarchical structure of celebrity culture. Doing things as an amateur isn't "good enough" so we don't do it.
If this Chrome native adblocking thing comes to fruition are we going to have an Internet National Register of Historic Places to conserve and subsidize sites that are famous for their egregiousness?
So, on Android there is no easy way for me to save links to Instapaper. Even when I click through I have to "Open in Chrome", then save.
Anyone have a trick, or is this a feature thing?

Volleybot takes another user's toot x at random, cuts everything up to the first verb, prints "Actually you x", appends three random hashtags, and @s the original user.
Bluntly: we lost a lot of people the first round of bullshit with pawoo. A lot of people stopped tooting or did so a lot less.
Second round? I don't know, probably a lot.
Why we need to get the meta discourse off the timeline, because administration is like sausage: you really don't wanna see how it's made.
