@Cocoron Most people work so that they don't starve / become homeless? Indirectly of course. So I'm not understanding your angle when someone decides sexwork is an okay fit for them at that point in their life. From my understanding the fact that it's illegal is what creates the coercive and abusive situations. I don't think it's inherent to sex work.

Do you have the same views on individuals in the porn industry?

@Cocoron Who would perform physically demanding yet low skill jobs if not someone unqualified to get into a more lucrative business? Unskilled labor will always exist, the fight should be for avenues for individuals to make other choices if they want to. Same idea would extend to a sex worker being able to move on to another profession if they wanted to and not being trapped. Slave labor is never being presented a choice.

@Cocoron If the only alternative was to starve, that would apply to other less than
blue collar jobs. I don't think construction is considered slave labor if the job is necessary to put food on the table. I feel like exploitation is an issue for sex workers, but don't believe it's inherently rape when making a consensual exchange of sex for something else.
