You know what the -really- nice part about mastodon is?
All the resources load from the same A record. There is only one DNS lookup required to access a mastodon site.
This matters a lot, and it's something that a lot of websites get horribly wrong.
@munin I haven't seen how large websites operate under the hood, but I was under the impression that only a media CDN was in place for load distribution? Accounting for images etc.
@oyasumi I counted six separate domains in the first minute[!] of loading, and that's -with- a vigorous adblocker.
