@oneoffsuit Cherry switches and a ridiculous justification for including a carriage return lever? I'M IN

@eugene are you proud of yourself? Monogamy is hard...

@bryan True, but when you have a keyboard fetish like me, you can't resist a nice design even if you won't use it daily.

This sweet looking retro bluetooth mechanical keyboard just went live on KickStarter. FYI

@patic Oh, I see your Canyonlands, and raise you a Grand. It was cold AF when I was there in February. octodon.social/media/JKSdPWAg6

@Yve Can you love America if you care for.. say.. 52% of Americans?

@polymerwitch Oh the life of a founder. How's it feel to be in the 1%?

@han_dall You can't 'change' instances. By default you local feed is only your instance... federated is yours and the friends of friends on all federated instances.... to find someone on another instance you have to use 'username@instance.domain' in the search.

@techstepper Has anyone made the assertion that this would replace twitter? (other than hyperbolic tech reporters)

@han_dall Gotta start from scratch friend. No cross verification. Also, make sure you know which instance your pals registered to.

I have barely used my other social media accounts since Mastodon came out.

@tfj I also think that most people are doing their best to create the world that they think will be most beneficial to everyone. In other words, I disagree with people often, but I default to trusting their motives. My judgment is that sociopaths and psychopaths are rare (not nonexistent, but definitely not the norm).

The real value add of Mastodon is giving everyone an excuse to finally put something on all the weird domains they've been squatting

@cunningcorvid @BradyDale Compassion is a big, BIG thing. Even the people who share my political ideals too often succumb to being angry with the other side, and choosing to express their ire rather than understanding the opposition.

It sure makes it hard to change minds when you approach them as the enemy.

@MightyBigCar lap rasslin' sounds like a euphemism..... but Mercalli and Bear are like IDGAF

@bitbyte i know a really good slide article on the 25 best ways to get more sleep, maybe that will help.

come on I don't want to have to ban that. could you not?

warnings. that expire after some time. we need a way to count offenses. that'd be great.
