Just realized that if I run my own instance, Ada can safely take part before she's 13. No need to worry about COPPA since I am the parent.
There are NO checkmark verifications on this instance or any other. People just put emoji in their display names for a joke
I mean, I get all the criticisms of Twitter, but I'm already really missing Twitter's diversity. Queer Twitter, Black Twitter, Arab Twitter, Latinx Twitter — they make social media worth reading. I need those voices.
I can reach out to my friends, but they're not gonna come without a network.
I think if you visit a username that doesn't exist at a particular mastodon instance, it would be nice if it presented search results for that username on other mastodon instances.
