Wire could be a promising Whatsapp alternative if they would understand the web..
@djoerd I've been using it a while now and it's been great, but I'm guessing you're trying to set up with an email instead of your cell number? I think that still has to be done from a PC the first time, which is a hassle.
@djoerd ah, yeah. I think the web app needs something that's not in the mobile browsers. The android app is good & you can download from their site instead of the play store if you want
@notjustbill Actually, I tried to use Wire from Firefox on my phone...
