I'm sr tech for a small (single digit) service company. 6 months ago a new tech was hired without my input at all. Nice enough guy, but regularly breaks stuff and doesn't RTFM to save his life. Knowing management's biases, I'm pretty sure he wasn't the most qualified person who applied either, but I can't even say "told you so"
