Even though I rarely post or interact, scrolling through the federated timeline before bed made me think about why seeing so many toots in languages I can't even guess at makes me feel good.
It's that everyone has a place to say what they want to say, how they want to say it, and there's no mechanism or algorithm trying to make me think I matter any more than anyone else does.
