I know a lot of people are mad at CloudFlare, but I don't understand the outrage at them.
They handled this poorly (very poorly) regarding appropriate notice, but they did what they've always done. They follow the law.
The law in this case is stupid and I disagree with it, but expecting CloudFlare to break the law on your behalf is unrealistic.
Be mad at the fuckers who passed these laws.

I haven't seen any bad reviews so I don't know what you're referring to.
What alternative would you recommend? There are very few distros that focus on desktop experience and are beginner friendly. Ubuntu is the only one I've ever seen my non-tech friends use.

The situation is made much worse by the fact that many centralized services (like Cloudflare) are based in the US and subject to US law.
I'm not surprised that CloudFlare did a sloppy job handling Switter. It fits in with all my experiences interacting with them, except for the part where they usually deny accountability for content they host.

Working on putting together my first #ruby gem for work.
At first I hated ruby but I am slowly coming to love it. Takes the best parts of bash and perl with the added bonus of proper object orientation.
Also code blocks are pretty neat.
