i love how ubuntu LTS are never actually safe to use until like a month after the previous version stops being supported so you’re forced to upgrade to an unprepared operating system

This sucks, but they also don't see/fix most problems till everybody starts using the LTS.
A new LTS is pretty much the same as any other version, but over the long term it stabilizes (hah)
