Y'know the AM broadcast band, the noisy scratchy muffled side of your car stereo which is only suitable for talk radio and traffic advisories?

@rey Back in the day you could hear AM signals from all over the country. Especially on those late-night drives with the old car radios that you could fine-tune manually, it was a trip.

@filkerdave @rey Back in the 90's when I lived in northwest Ohio, I once picked up an AM station out of St. Louis, Missouri (approx 400 mi). I don't recall it sounding this good, but it was still impressive.
