I’ve been told that IPv4 addresses are incredibly underutilized does anyone know any details on that?
@jordyd The problem is the places that have a bunch of IPv4 space but aren't using it are now selling it off at exorbitant cost. Big players like AWS are more often than not willing to pay it because they're growing like mad. So, even if the "majority" of IPs aren't in use, they soon will be.
There has been talk of trying to recover Class E (multicast) space, but models of address consumption show that would only buy a few months.
