Anyone recently build an AMD Ryzen 3 220G CPU System and ran into similar problems? Mainboard is an ASUS Prime B350 - PLUS.

Good thing I do have a AMD Ryzen 1700 in my own new computer. The home server is for a family member. Now all I need is to switch processors, update BIOS and then switch back. It's 2018.
@luricaun This is an annoying, but known, problem -- motherboards that don't say "Ryzen G-Series Ready" will require a BIOS update. Some have that functionality built-in (and don't require a processor), but most lower end ones don't. AMD has a program where they'll send you a low end bristol ridge APU if you'd rather not go through the hassle of disassembling your personal machine and have the time to wait for shipping.
This is the down-side of not requiring new boards per generation/line.
