@ikey I'm not specifically against systemd for hating-systemd's sake. I'm against it because nearly every time I look at it, it has horrible behaviours and activity.

That milan feels kinda sorta bad about maybe having done something wrong -- which he not only hasn't done jack shit to redress, but has actually made worse by banning the victm instead of the abuser and turning her into a target for harassment by the abuser's friends -- isn't an apology. And it's sure as HELL not a legitimate reason to continue tolerating him and his instance.

Lesson: these "nifty" remote controlled gadgets don't handle unplanned power outages well.
Contrast that "turn on!" behavior to my server: it receives the power failure message from the connected UPS, shuts down its VMs cleanly, then turns off also cleanly. THAT is how to handle a power failure.
I had a rare electrical power outage last night.
First I couldn't sleep because I was listening to the storm, and feeling thunder shake the house.
Then power went out, and I heard sounds inside. I learned that the Eufy robot vacuum starts cleaning when the power goes out (really?!).
I struggled to sleep until power returned just over an hour later. Then I learned that my TCP Connected (remote control) lights turn on when power returns! There are 4 in my bedroom. TOO BRIGHT!
