@ajroach42 @zigg I read this http://roblox.wikia.com/wiki/ROBLOX_on_Linux as "has not worked on Linux since 2015, and then only in Wine." So, unlikely. I was hopeful, though! Not all tricks are documented!
@rey
What?? I changed my name in 2001 (got married) and in 2013 (divorce final), and I don't remember IEEE being difficult either time. Now eBay in 2001 had a lot of hoops! I did get my name change request down to a form letter with a copy of the applicable certificate, tho'.
However, IEEE should NOT be the gatekeeper of valid reasons to change names. I'm sorry I didn't keep records of what I had to do to get my name change, but I'll join you for WTF-ing - officially to IEEE if it would help!
@ajroach42 @zigg I haven't found a way to run Roblox on Xubuntu, and I'd rather avoid Wine. I'm open to a VM running any Linux or BSD, if anyone knows Roblox-for-nix tricks!

My oldest (12) loves to create games in Scratch! He still clings to Scratch (and has his own Ubuntu too), but I want him to look at:
* S2js http://www.s2js.com/
* Snap http://byob.berkeley.edu/
* https://www.scriptacademy.net/ (also js)
* https://love2d.org/ 2D, Lua
* maybe https://www.renpy.org/
Leveraging his love of Minecraft:
* https://github.com/walterhiggins/ScriptCraft got some interest
* https://code.org/minecraft
* http://edublocks.org/ he didn't like the Pi slowness compared to his desktop
I'm on another critical project at $work. (I'm already on two utterly critical projects, which is one or two more than I'd like, but they both have a deadline of June 1.) Based on comment from $boss, I declare the theme song of this project to be "Eastbound and Down" by Jerry Reed because
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there
The deadline is October; $boss'-boss will find out if that's Oct 1 or Oct 31. Please be Oct 31!
@vfrmedia Hands-free is better than holding phone to ear, but ... yikes.
The worst I saw was a US driver in very heavy traffic (bumper-to-bumper) holding phone in one hand, lollipop in the other hand, using elbows on the steering wheel. This driver was also directly behind me, but traffic was too heavy for me to change lanes safely. At least I wasn't in an accident ...
The assumption of privacy within your car with the volume turned up also astounds me.
PSA: please don't talk on your cell phone while driving!
http://www.businessinsider.com/talking-on-a-hands-free-cellphone-is-as-bad-as-driving-drunk-2013-8
Please note, those studies are for hands-free; nowadays, I see far too many drivers making bad turns while holding phones to ear.
We left for school 10 minutes later than planned this morning so we could watch this bunny eat clover in our front yard. I promised not to mow that patch.
Repeat after me:
My experience is not everybody's experience.
My perspective is not everybody's perspective.
My "obvious" is not everybody's "obvious".
@sonicbooming Fine, startled, and quite disgruntled. I enjoy my lizards and bats, though!
I opened my garage door and walked outside. Just as I was passing under the door, I heard a soft thump next to me.
A lizard had gotten a ride up on the garage door, lost its grip, and landed on the concrete next to me. The lizard ran away quickly, so I assume it's fine. Possibly startled, but fine.

It's a new morning, fediverse.
It's ok to change your mind. We are constantly growing and changing as people and sentient beings, so keeping an open mind about how we interact with the world is a trait to practice.
Don't hold onto old ideas just because they are familiar. It's a big world out there. Explore new ones.

Because it needs to be said: Trans men are men, trans women are women, nonbinary people are awesome, and if you’re exploring your identity that’s fine by me too.
