And I just read something about self-care at C3 events and was reminded that the first two days of 34c3 I thought: “What am I doing here? I am trapped in this room. Please remind me to not come again, this is no place for us.” Until I got to know people (…) and had an awesome time.
So how am I going to prevent this initial disappointment? Maybe the kids are safe enough to play in the kidspace this year so I could meet more other people there. But what, if not?
Re: 35c3, self-care Show more
It’s rather likely I cannot use kid space with my kids and we’ll mostly be in the room again. But we can go to other rooms, I can take them for a walk and maybe we go to some open space for a few minutes, so:
* I’ll try to actively meet people at 35c3
* I hope the choir(s) will be compatible with my kids and join
* I will especially try to join QFG, mastodon meetup, Haecksenfrühstück if they exist
