The #sffbookclub read for July is River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey.
If access is an issue, DM me--we've had a little luck with crowdfunding.
#Pride Month is over, but I want to leave y'all with one thought about visibility.
When I was young, I didn't know what #bisexual meant—thought I was a broken straight.
I want people to see me and know that being bi+ doesn't have a damn thing to do with your ability to love as you will, including the possibility of being in an awesome relationship like the one I've had for over twenty years.
I want some young bisexual to know that and not beat themselves up for decades. I want them to love themselves. ❤️
Watching the S3 (of at least 4!) finale of #TheExpanse now.
Such a good show.
Watched #RedSparrow last night. It wasn't a bad movie, but could have been better for being about 20 minutes shorter. Mostly by shorter scenes, not by cutting them.
Also, my #prosopagnosia kicks in with all the hair changes.
The #bookshop kobo.com sells lots of non-DRM eBooks!
However, they also sell lots of DRM eBooks, all mixed together with the non-DRM, and no filter to sort them out
This makes it very difficult to look for non-DRM books on #Kobo.
So, to solve this problem switching.social presents the Unofficial Kobo Search page, which lets you find non-DRM books available on your country's Kobo site:
https://switching.social/unofficial-kobo-search/
Any feedback very welcome.

I just saw my shadow. You know what that means: 6 more months of gay pride. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
Okay, main characters are NOT ALLOWED to pull this "names have power so I'm not telling you mine" bullshit on me. I am your AUTHOR. You will LISTEN. #amwriting

My new toy generates random #Arrow episode synopses, inspired by @SilviaFox .
"In flashbacks, during a fight it is designed to protect Merlyn for as long as he knows Joe will not fight for him anymore, but for the death of the clean cops, forcing Nick to realize that vigilantism is the Green Arrow crashes through the skylight, revealing himself as the mayor, not the vigilante. Curtis promises to free John, Rene, Dinah, and Quentin, who reveals that he is being framed."

Yesterday was bad, but feeling more myself today. I'll take it!
Good morning, friends.
If disco is dead, does that make anyone who is trying to bring it back a necrodancer?
I finally summarized my book in one sentence. 70,000 words in on the first draft.
"Queers fight oppressive systems in post-apocalyptic Alaska."
That's it. I did it. Augh. #AmWriting
Two things:
1. We have the #sffbookclub and some others. Is there a #nonfictionbookclub?
2. Is there a Mastodon Goodreads group (yes, yes, booo, Amazon...) or a Telegram (again, yes, booo, I get it) or Wire or other messenger group that would make talking about books easier?
