Stranger in Olondria, ending spoilers

Finished it for last night.

I couldn't help but compare the religion of the Stone to medieval Catholicism, including social mobility being limited to those literate in Olondrian. Having that underlying a civil war, in a book written while the author was in a region that suffered under European colonialism, was *chef's kiss*.

Also, Jevick bringing literacy to his people on their own terms with their own language was a nice finishing touch.
