Older Roman Catholics grew up with a prohibition on eating on Sunday until Communion, but that was every Sunday. Is it something like that?
I don't know why this is like that, actually.
Well my friend here says that, they do this just to counter the restaurant at the other end of the street.
@officialcjunior Huh. Ok. My guess remains it has something to do with Christian communion then. Many US Protestant churches do it only on the first Sunday.
