it's ironic how many people have antagonistic knee-jerk reactions towards identifying as "made up" species found in myth and fantasy

but most of what they themselves identify with and uphold, is just memes: customs, laws, gender roles, currency, borders, titles, power structures etc

the validity of an idea should not be measured by how accepted it is in a dysfunctional, exploitative and self-sabotaging society

that whole pretense of rationality and skepticism is nauseating

It's revealing of the state of the industry at large that software manuals don't exist anymore, and that documentation is often an afterthought.

It's elitist, IMO.

The books that I got with my Atari 400 (hand me downs in the mid nineties, I can't comment on what shipped with the system originally) were super thurrough, and also written at novices.
