It’s another version of the I’m Not Like Other Girls paradigm. They believe shielding men they supposedly have more in common w(cuz they’re just so quirky that way) instead of standing in solidarity with other women makes them unique, valuable, protected. It doesn’t.

What tiny bits I know about what each of them does to a person’s brain and body suggests that people are right to be suspect of the internet (especially social media) and not of books. Reading is physically good for you, calming, and often puts you in a receptive and compassionate place. The internet, especially social media... at best, fairly similar to what happens to you when you spend all day at a slot machine.
