I'm reading the first chapter of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Forty years ago Pirsig was writing about his riding buddies not being able to cope with technology, so they bury their head in the sand about it.

I feel like if he was writing it today, maybe he'd be talking about online privacy. Except today, the poeple that can't cope with it are in the majority, and there isn't any Budda or Godhead to be found in those privacy-destroying systems.
