According to the EFF’s Twitter feed, the JURI Committee of the EU has just passed both #Article11 and #Article13.

I'm sad that Mastodon seems to be getting more and more passive-aggressive and mean-spiritedly cliquish as time goes on. It's starting to feel like the worst of Tumblr culture in a lot of ways. Over the last few days I've pre-emptively muted notifications for several posts because I can predict the replies I'm going to get and I'd rather not see them.
I don't think it has to be that way. I think we can all do better. Exercise compassion for others, and maybe think twice about our next subtoots.

Okay. After writing and proofreading thousands of times, I hit “Send”.
I wrote to one of the Italian members of the JURI commission of the European Parliament, asking him to #DeleteArticle13 (and 3 and 11) of the new copyright directive.
Let's see how it works out.

I was checking the website of a foreign non-for-profit organization, and they had a page in Italian for the donations. And they give out their “bicicletta” – which is the Italian word for “bicycle”.
I guess they adapted “BIC” (Bank Identifier Code) to “bicicletta” for some reason, and nobody double-checked 🚲
the plural of vertex is vertices, so the plural of regex must be... regices
