I'm sad that Mastodon seems to be getting more and more passive-aggressive and mean-spiritedly cliquish as time goes on. It's starting to feel like the worst of Tumblr culture in a lot of ways. Over the last few days I've pre-emptively muted notifications for several posts because I can predict the replies I'm going to get and I'd rather not see them.
I don't think it has to be that way. I think we can all do better. Exercise compassion for others, and maybe think twice about our next subtoots.

@Iuckyduck Yes, maybe it’s not that drastic in my experience, but once people have got what they want, they tend to end their calls as quickly as possible, even if they sound brusque.
Unfortunately work phone calls are not treated like personal calls, in which making the other person feel good (especially if they’re a loved one) is often considered to be valuable.

Just wrote a long email to an Austrian MEP about #article13. I was actually surprised to get a response to my original mail sent via https://saveyourinternet.eu/home ! Great to see that some politicians actually don't shy away from talking with their constituents 😀

I wrote to one of the Italian members of the JURI commission of the European Parliament, asking him to #DeleteArticle13 (and 3 and 11) of the new copyright directive.
Let's see how it works out.

I was checking the website of a foreign non-for-profit organization, and they had a page in Italian for the donations. And they give out their “bicicletta” – which is the Italian word for “bicycle”.
I guess they adapted “BIC” (Bank Identifier Code) to “bicicletta” for some reason, and nobody double-checked 🚲
@dulcet @Iuckyduck Good point. So I’ll bring the cheese and I’ll leave the lettuce to my partner in sandwich-making
