Photographers of the fediverse, a question for you: I would like to bring my DSLR and lens in my cabin baggage on a plane. My camera backpack is too bulky, so I’m tempted to put my gear in a regular backpack, but I’d need to protect it in some way.
Do you have any experience with camera inserts and/or protective wraps? Or should I just wrap everything up in a shirt and save money?
The brightest moment of the day was when a project manager I worked with wrote me that I would be a good PM (and CC’d my boss!). A nice exception to the usual thanklessness of this job.
