Do you know any #boardgames that work for two players as well as three or more?
I know some games that are designed for 3+ players, and the rules can be adapted for only two, but they become complicated and clumsy. Any alternatives?
@cassolotl @miramarco You can! And it works quite well with just two people. No need to modify the rules or anything.
@miramarco I saw a post about Kodama yesterday, which looks like it would fit the bill. I haven't played it myself, though.

@miramarco co-operative games work pretty well for this. So things like Pandemic, Forbidden Island/Desert, Eldritch Horror, etc.
Usually each player only plays a single "character" but if it seems a bit slow you can play multiple characters each essentially playing a 3 or 4 person game with two players.
@jason_the_concurror I was considering co-operative games, but for some reason I didn't think of playing multiple characters at once. Good idea!
@miramarco @jason_the_concurror confirming, cooperative games work great with only two players. also in that genre, check out Sentinels of the Multiverse. so good.
@miramarco ticket to ride.
star realms is ideal for 2-6 players because the rules and meta adapt.
@miramarco if you want one of the base decks its like 15 americanski but if you get every card that's not rare plus a box its like 100
@miramarco How about chess, draughts or Snakes and Ladders?
@miramarco Oh, sorry, I reread your toot and understand now, ignore my suggestions!
Thanks to all the people who gave their suggestions! 🤗
@miramarco i'll have to pull out my games and let you know. We've got a bunch of them.
@miramarco I quite like Carcassonne, I think you can play that with 2 people?
