it's 3am and I'm hanging out, I've have had a great night reading and gardening and playing with my dog and enjoying drunk people outside, and I just love late nights so much :'-)
In my head just now I referred to my phone battery dying as "declaring bankruptcy"
I'm rubbing my shaved head against-the-grain on my arm chair and it feels like the most dramatic battle going on between my head and this chair rn
today I gestured wildly and water FLEW out of my cup

@milo holy shit immediately after posting this my ipad decided it was appropriate to voice-narrate the whole toot and it was kind of brutal
Tonight I realize that i’m filled with self-hatred over my own lack of excellence and my seeming inability to attain it!
Thing is, my definition of excellence is really attainable, and the self-hatred and meaningless reassuring words I tell myself (e.i. “I’m doing my best!” “Better every day”) is the primary thing holding me back.
Here’s to accepting mediocrity 🍷

@Malin one of the most useful questions for me is, am “I comfortable being perceived as [binary gender]?” Because that’s mostly what it comes down to, in my opinion. If I lived alone in the woods and never spoke to other humans I would never know I was non binary because no one would be there to perceive and judge me.
There’s also a feeling called Gender Euphoria which is the feeling of joy and validation a person gets when they’re correctly gendered (opposite of dysphoria). It’s a big tell 💜

@exo We all know that the aesthetic origins of vaporwave are based on 80s pop art/Memphis group, but the ideology of the vaporwave collage is nothing new either. In fact, during the late 80s--the era of which the internet vaporwave community nostalgizes/abstracts as a "[transformative] production and dissemination of art" (Lovejoy, 23-25)--Warda Geismar abstracted her own postmodern technological surroundings in what would be one of the earliest works of proto-vaporwave collage, "Untitled" ('88)
