@memnus @midi_mac it's probably a form of stratified sampling, like, I bet there are other versions of that letter that ask for the oldest male between 18 and 34, the youngest female between 35 and 44, etc. They would've bought bulk marketing data to get a good guess at age ranges and genders present within households, so that they send you one that is more likely to match someone living there.
